Planning your days in Zanzibar
Where you stay decides which trips are easy. Stone Town hotels are a short walk from the boats to Prison Island and Nakupenda sandbank. The north coast, around Nungwi, Kendwa and Matemwe, is closest to the reef at Mnemba. Many sea trips depend on the tide, so we confirm exact start times when you book. Zanzibar activities: questions and answers
Do your prices include hotel pickup?
Most activities include pickup from the main hotel areas. Each page says what is included. For hotels far from the start point, a transfer supplement applies by zone.
Are the tours shared with other travellers?
No. All our Zanzibar activities are private: only your group takes part, with your own guide and your own vehicle or boat.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If sea or weather conditions make a trip unsafe, we move it to another day or refund it.
Can I combine a Zanzibar activity with a safari?
Yes. Our 1-day Mikumi fly-in safari returns you to your Zanzibar hotel the same evening. Keep beach activities and the safari on separate days.
How do I pay?
