About this Salaam Cave turtle swim
Salaam Cave is a natural cave pool in the village of Kizimkazi, on Zanzibar's southern tip. Sea turtles live in the pool, and visitors can swim and snorkel alongside them with a local guide.
It is a short visit that fits easily into a day on the south of the island, before or after Jozani Forest or a morning dolphin trip from Kizimkazi.

Can I touch the turtles?
Follow the guide's instructions. Don't grab, chase or hold on to a turtle.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No, but you should be comfortable in water. Ask the guide about life jackets.
