About this Blue Lagoon snorkeling
The Blue Lagoon lies off the Michamvi peninsula on Zanzibar's south-east coast, inside the reef. The water is shallow and calm, which makes it a good first snorkel for children and beginners.
Visibility depends on the tide, so we time the trip for the best conditions. Starfish are common on the sandy patches nearby: look, but leave them in the water.

No. Lifting starfish out of the water can kill them. Your guide will show you where to look.

No. The water is shallow and life jackets are available.
