About this quad bike tour
Inland from Nungwi and Kendwa, the north of Zanzibar is a mix of villages, small farms and sandy tracks that most visitors never see from the beach. On a quad you cover much more of it than you could on foot.
A guide rides ahead on a set route and stops for photos along the way. You get a safety briefing and a short practice before setting off, and the pace is set for the least experienced rider in the group.

Quad bike tour itinerary
Timings are a guide.
- StartPickup from your Nungwi or Kendwa hotel.
- 15 minArrive at the quad base. Helmets, safety briefing and a practice loop.
- 1–2 hrGuided ride through villages and farmland, with photo stops.
- 30 minBeach or viewpoint stop. On the sunset ride, this is timed for sunset.
- EndRide back to base and transfer to your hotel.

Children and groups
Children can ride as passengers with an adult. The operator sets the minimum age to drive, and we confirm it when you book. Group rates are available for six or more travellers.
Booking and cancellation
Send us your date, number of travellers and hotel. We confirm availability and the full price in USD before you pay. Changes and cancellations follow our booking terms. If weather or sea conditions make a trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund it.

Do I need a driving licence?
The operator's rules on driver age and licence apply. We confirm them before you pay.
I have never ridden a quad. Can I join?
Yes. You practise at the base before leaving, and the guide sets a pace for beginners.
What should I wear?
Closed shoes, sunglasses and clothes you don't mind getting dusty. Cover shoulders and knees when riding through villages.
